This is a characteristic Ulmus parvifolia Chinese Elm bonsai with an excellent twisty trunk. Inspired by nature, this beautiful bonsai has lovely styling and lush foliage pads of tiny little leaves. Perfectly sized for a desk or windowsill or perhaps position on the coffee table – it would even sit nicely in a shelving unit which gets good light! This bonsai comes potted in a neutral cream ceramic pot with matching ceramic drip tray, the colour really helps to enhance the rich foliage.

Additionally, this is not a difficult bonsai to look after. It requires the soil being kept just damp and feeding once a week with liquid bonsai fertiliser. The fun part is the pruning. It is relaxing and fun to sit and prune and style to produce neat foliage pads.

This nicely proportioned Chinese Elm sits within a cream/ivory ceramic pot with complementary drip tray. Furthermore, its gnarly trunk and well positioned branch are a lovely feature to this 8 year old bonsai.

The tree has excellent twig structure and has great character throughout, making it the perfect representation of a woodland tree. In our opinion the Chinese Elm is the most perfectly proportioned, easy to care for and adaptable tree and makes a superb bonsai; which can be grown either indoors or outdoors.
