The Chinese Elm is a firm favourite amongst bonsai beginners and enthusiasts due to its hardy nature, easy care requirements and fast growth rate. These 12-year-old bonsai are well established, making them easier to care for than a younger bonsai.
Known as a more traditional species of bonsai, the bonsai chosen for this product have elegant shapes with fantastic styling. The leaves are lush with serrated edges, sat on twiggy structured branches – they are easy and fun to prune!
These bonsai are potted into navy blue ceramic pots and you have the option to select which drip tray you would like. This gift also comes with FREE care instructions and a “Happy Valentine’s Day” wooden tag with an owl design.

Chinese Elm are evergreen when kept indoors. They can be kept outdoors but they will become deciduous during winter and need frost protection. Perfect for all environments, we think they look great in office spaces and in the home. Keep the soil just damp at all times, feed once a week and mist the leaves regularly. Don’t forget to prune as and when needed to keep a neat shape and encourage even growth!
